<image:title>Blog - MY GRAY HAIR - This hair comes from that bad a#$ in the front row with the striking, white hair. That gorgeous woman is my Grandma Rosie.</image:title>
<image:caption>The best thing about my Grandma Rosie was that she was warm and welcoming. She had this great laugh and a huge smile that put everyone at ease. And if you were in her home, you were family. Grab a drink, play euchre, and laugh and chat until the police show up to quiet you down. Another true story. And when the police asked her how old she was, she lied because you don’t ask a lady her age! And she was a lady!</image:caption>

      <image:title>Recipes - SPINACH GREEK YOGURT - STEP 2:</image:title>

<image:caption>Add 3/4 Cup of your Spinach Yogurt in a bowl and top with your favorite fruit (this is Dole Tripple Berry Medly with a few fresh raspberries). You could also add granola for a little crunch (I will be posting a recipe for that soon).</image:caption>

<image:title>Recipes - SPINACH GREEK YOGURT - First, a little something about the yogurt I chose. I use Fage 2% Total Greek Yogurt. I was originally using a different brand, but when I ran it through the blender with the spinach, it came out runny. I like a thick yogurt and Fage 2% Total Greek Yogurt stands up to the blender and it tastes great.</image:title>

      <image:title>Recipes - SPINACH GREEK YOGURT - STEP 1:</image:title>
<image:caption>Put 6 Cups of Fresh Spinach in a blender jar and turn on low until the spinach is ground down. The only reason I do this first is to make room for adding the yogurt. 6 Cups of spinach takes up a lot of space.</image:caption>

<image:caption>Combine Old Fashioned Oats, Slivered Almonds, and Flax Seed into a large bowl. You can be creative here. Add dry fruit, different nuts, and/or seeds. This is a really good base to build on. Make it your own!</image:caption>

<image:title>Recipes - SIMPLE GRANOLA - I’ve tried a few recipes over the last year. So many of them are loaded with sugar and fat. Don’t get me wrong. They were all delicious! But I wanted something easy, quick, low in sugar, and low in fat. Something with a good crunch - even after sitting in yogurt for a few minutes. I did not find anything online that really got me excited, so I made up my own. While the baking time takes a bit longer than I’d like, the crunch factor is through the roof!</image:title>

<image:caption>After some testing and learning our way into this method, what we finally got was the best banana bread I’ve ever put in my face! A favorite with my oldest, in particular, you can eat this straight up, with butter, or let it dry out a bit and make french toast with it - it is fragile to work with but worth it.</image:caption>

We are using dark brown sugar here - the flavor is a little richer with dark brown sugar. You can use light brown sugar or no sugar at all. It is up to you! <image:title>Recipes - THE BEST BANANA BREAD - STEP 2:</image:title>
<image:caption>In a wide bottom pan, cook bananas and cinnamon over medium heat until excess liquid has cooked off. This will take 10-15 minutes, but your house will smell AMAZING! What you will be left with is a banana mash that is the consistency of lumpy lemon curd. Allow the banana mash to cool completely before going to the next step. This can be done in advance and stored in the refrigerator for a few days if you are running short on time.</image:caption>

<image:title>Recipes - THE BEST BANANA BREAD - This recipe is pretty versatile. You can: Add walnuts - if you’re into that kind of thing Replace 1 Cup of sugar with 1/2 Cup sugar and 1/2 Cup brown. Add 1/2 Cup crushed pineapple (thoroughly drained) and 1/4 Cup coconut flakes for a tropical flare. Make it your own and enjoy!</image:title>

<image:caption>In my never-ending quest to find ways to combat the symptom of menopause, I look for, among other things, foods and recipes. While I have often overlooked Cauliflower in the produce section, it is a powerhouse in several ways: It is filling and low calorie It may help prevent cancer* Helps to protect cell damage* Cauliflower is full of nutrients like calcium and folic acid to help support bone health** It’s relatively inexpensive Oh, and it’s delicious! This recipe is as easy as they come - just the way I like it. Four ingredients and some time are all it takes.</image:caption>

<image:title>Recipes - GARLIC CAULIFLOWER - The garlic and cauliflower get nice and brown and slightly crispy. I love the texture and the crispy garlic really makes this one of my favorites. I have also tried this with a little Parmesan and lemon zest over the top and it was great! This is another one of those recipes that you can dress up or down depending on your taste.
